These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the LeagueOfficials mobile application and website at leagueofficials.app (the "Service"), operated by LeagueOfficials ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. Users between 13 and 17 years of age must have parental or guardian consent before creating an account. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements.

For Referees: When you accept or claim a game assignment, you are committing to officiate that game at the specified date, time, and location. Repeated no-shows or last-minute cancellations may result in account suspension or tier demotion.
For League Admins: When you post a game and a referee accepts, you are obligated to honor the posted pay rate and game details. Changes to game details should be communicated promptly through the platform.
LeagueOfficials facilitates connections between leagues and referees but is not a party to any agreement between them. We are not responsible for the quality of officiating, game cancellations, payment disputes, or any interactions between users outside the platform.
The Whistle Tier System (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond) reflects platform activity and games completed. Tier status is determined by our platform algorithms and may change based on your activity. Whistle Tiers are internal platform designations and do not constitute professional certification. State and national officiating certifications (such as those issued by NFHS or state athletic associations) are separate from and not replaced by our tier system.
The rules quizzes provided through the Service are designed to assess general knowledge of sports rules. They are educational tools and do not replace or substitute for official certification programs. We make reasonable efforts to ensure quiz content is accurate but do not guarantee that all content reflects the most current official rules.
The Service is currently free to use during the early access period. We reserve the right to introduce fees, including coordination fees per game filled, league subscription fees, or other charges in the future. We will provide advance notice of any fee changes. Payment processing, when implemented, will be handled through secure third-party payment processors (such as Stripe).
The Service, including its design, features, content, and branding, is owned by LeagueOfficials and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our written permission. You retain ownership of content you submit (such as profile information and photos), but grant us a non-exclusive license to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with operating the Service.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, repeated no-shows or cancellations, fraudulent activity, or any conduct that we determine is harmful to other users or the platform. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, though certain provisions of these Terms (such as limitation of liability) will survive.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any user-submitted content, including referee qualifications or league details. We are not responsible for any injuries, damages, or losses arising from officiating activities arranged through the platform.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LeagueOfficials shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LeagueOfficials, its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another user or third party.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in the State of Delaware.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
